How we rebuilt Honor Tech’s own WordPress website.

Honor Tech LLC

The website you are reading is Honor Tech’s real WordPress migration example. Our previous WordPress team gave the business an online foundation we value. Building on that work, we launched a code-based website project that lets us develop the site directly, carry useful content forward, and keep improving its services, resources, and customer experience.

The operating context

The challenge was larger than a feature request.

01Honor Tech wanted direct control over website engineering, publishing through code, and the release process as its public website continued to grow.

02Existing articles and incoming links needed a deliberate transition alongside new page templates, content, and customer inquiry journeys.

03The move had to establish a foundation for continued development: service pages, practical buying guides, case studies, pricing information, and useful interactive tools.

The work

Focused engineering across the workflow.

A new implementation and room to grow

Rebuilt the website with Astro, TypeScript, reusable page components, and selected React interactions. Shared templates now support service pages, articles, and case studies, so new information can be added consistently. The current site reflects the migration and the design and content development that followed.

Existing content recovered

Recovered published articles from the WordPress database and brought selected material into the new article collection, including titles, publication dates, article text, and local images. One example is our existing article about database table naming.

Legacy addresses given a destination

Mapped older root-level article addresses to their current /blog/ pages with permanent server-side redirects. Try the legacy address for the database naming article: it leads directly to the current article. Other legacy paths, including the former privacy-policy address, also have explicit mappings.

Search and image delivery built into the site

Added shared page titles and descriptions, canonical URLs, structured data, internal links, an XML sitemap, and responsive image generation. These provide consistent technical foundations as content expands; they are implemented capabilities, with search performance evaluated separately.

Customer inquiries and useful resources

Built contact and quote forms with server-side validation and bot protection. Continued the project with clearer service and pricing pages, decision guides, and an automation ROI calculator that helps visitors explore a potential investment.

Checks before and after releases

Established automated checks, production builds, and a deployment workflow with public-site smoke tests. The site verifier checks page availability, canonical URLs, structured data, links, redirects, and form structure; delivery and other customer journeys also need checks appropriate to the release.

Results

What the work accomplished.

A codebase Honor Tech can maintain and extend directly, with reusable templates and a repeatable deployment process.

Selected existing articles remain available, with working routes from legacy addresses to current pages.

The project has grown into the service information, pricing resources, articles, case studies, inquiry forms, and interactive tools available on this website today.

Engagement context

This is Honor Tech’s own website project. Its scope includes the platform migration and subsequent design, content, and functionality improvements. A customer who wants to retain an existing design can approve that narrower scope separately. The hypothetical rebuild budget in our pricing guide describes a different, explicitly assumed project.
